I am a chiropractor with a special interest in sport injury management and preventative therapy. I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology undergraduate degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Following my undergraduate education I went on to complete my chiropractic education at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and followed that with my Sports Sciences Residency through the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (Canada).
I have completed additional training and education in Functional Integrated Acupuncture, soft tissue release therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue therapy, sports nutrition, sports psychology and concussion assessment and management.
For eight years I served as medical staff in the Ontario Junior Hockey League and have spent time with different organizations treating sports injuries and facilitating return to sport management. In 2018 I had the privilege to travel with Team Canada East for the World Jr. A Championship. In 2020 I was awarded the honour of OJHL trainer of the year. In 2020 I also had the opportunity to serve as medical staff for the Orillia Winter Games.
In 2022 I took a break from my hockey family, in February I married my now husband and later that year we welcomed our first son. On my days off you can find me spending time with my family and our dog Jersey, we enjoy going for hikes and swimming in the summer!
I am excited to announce that for the 2024 IBL Season I will be serving as the Team Chiropractor for the Hamilton Cardinals! I look forward to this opportunity and to gain experience in another sport with these elite athletes!
